The Red Wine Leithaberg DAC Halser, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Sommer has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Tasting Notes
It has a deep dark ruby colour, with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. On the nose there is some minerality, fresh black berry fruit, tobacco nuances, and a touch of sour cherry in the background. It is substantial on the palate, again with black berry fruit, fine tannins, and it is freshly structured, with a lemony touch on the back palate.
