The best aperitif hotspots for the Salzburg Festival

Austria
Wine Inspiration
Summer

Fine wines, drinks and delicious specialties: We reveal the best aperitif addresses for the festival summer in Salzburg.

CAMPARI BAR, BLAUE GANS

“The aperitif is the evening prayer of the French”, they say in France. If it can be celebrated as stylishly as in the Campari Bar or in the guest garden of the Blaue Gans, then you may be in Salzburg, but you can enjoy savoir-vivre to the full, and not just in summer. Great bar food and cool cocktails included.

AZWANGER GRÜNMARKT

Tradition obliges. As early as 1400, the Azwanger Haus was divided between Getreidegasse and Frauengarten, now University Square. And now you can once again enjoy fine wines, drinks and specialties from the fresh produce counter. All with a view of the Kollegienkirche, with tables right next to the market. You can shop there as well as there.

BAR GOLDENER HIRSCH

The story of the classic cocktail Susanne is best told by the bartender in the famous Hirschen-Bar. In any case, the drink is a real insider's tip and you might meet the namesake in the bar, where an exquisite selection awaits guests. The best bar food.

SPORER GETREIDEGASSE

Cocktail to go or cocktail on the road? That's the big question at the Sporer Likör & Punschmanufaktur headquarters. For generations, guests have been spoiled for choice between the house blend, punch (in winter) and Michael Sporer's innovative creations. A gin and tonic with the new Otto Gin, for example, would be the perfect festival drink.

OUTDOOR LOUNGE

One of the greatest places in Salzburg for connoisseurs with wanderlust and exceptional taste. The best place in summer to enjoy delicious grilled food, salads and creative snacks, a great wine selection and drinks, with and without alcohol, are of course also available. The view of the airplanes and into the distance is free.

GEHMACHER CAFÉ

Not just a café in the classic sense, but also a wonderful place for brunch, pre- and after-work breaks. A nice place to enjoy coffee, cake and snacks during the day and creative cocktails such as Gehmacher MULE NO.4 in the evening, accompanied by delicious Gehmacher tramezzini. A place of encounter and inspiration in the lifestyle store in Judengasse.
