The White Wine »Porphyr« Riesling trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Engel has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheinhessen in Germany.
Rather closed bouquet but with hints of apricot and peach. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy acidity and restrained sweetness, a fine layer of phenolics provides grip, good balance, not too soft and quite demanding for an entry-level wine. Well done.
