The Red Wine Momprione Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG, vintage 2022 from the winery Cascina Vèngore has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright ruby red with cherry-red edges. Initially somewhat restrained on the nose, opening up to wild berries, mint chocolate and red flowers. On the palate a rich, clear fruit and lively juiciness, shows grippy tannins on the finish, unfortunately with a subtle dryness. Still needs some time, currently with a clear wood overhang.
