Region
Rheinhessen, Germany
Germany's largest wine-growing region (26,500 hectares) was a wallflower for a long time, considered more a provenance of nameless branded wines...
Fruit driven: apricot, red apple, nectarine and a hint of blossom honey. The palate is round and supple, silky with a noticeable chalky minerality and a layer of viscosity from very ripe grapes. A kind of dry Auslese, an exciting wine.
