Winegrowing in Germany, as in other European winegrowing countries, goes back primarily to the Romans, who brought the vine from the Rhone on their campaign...
On the nose: apricot confit with intense yeasty overtones. Also gooseberry confit. On the palate, the wine has a surprisingly slender cut, silky phenolics, a delicate acid nerve and a little residual sweetness. A very finely woven wine.
