Tasting Notes
Amalfi lemon and butter combine on the nose just as they do in raw, buttery shortcrust pastry with grated lemon zest. More air and more temperature simply amplify that wonderfully ripe, sunny, buttery lemon scent and suffuse it with ozone. The palate then adds drive that is bedded in buttery generosity and cool, cool chalk, accentuated by lively mousse. This is rich and linear at the same time, informed by lemony energy and backed by rich, creamy autolysis. The finish is very clean and zesty and reveals the depth and richness of the wine.
