Region
Rheinhessen, Germany
Germany's largest wine-growing region (26,500 hectares) was a wallflower for a long time, considered more a provenance of nameless branded wines...
Only slightly pink tinted, rather medium honey yellow. Aroma of ripe peach, pear, some quince, candied lime hint of beeswax, distinctive and individualistic. Dense and gripping on the palate, lively acidity, pear, lime, hint of honey, quince, skillful phenolics. Very interesting, but difficult to grasp as a rosé.
