For over three years, Padrone Pedro has been delighting everyone who appreciates really good, authentic tacos with his gastronomic mission. The food truck is at Lentpark every day except Mondays, and on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays there are tacos in front of the Suderman in the evening.

Sudermanplatz 3, 50670 Cologne, Germany

The Mexican specialties of the Los Carnales boys have been an integral part of Cologne since the Cologne street food festivals. With 2022 finally came a permanent location including a large terrace at Rheinauhafen. Tacos, mezcal and michelada taste even better now.

Agrippinawerft 30, 50678 Cologne, Germany

Bar and restaurant in a very stylishly renovated, listed old building. The menu is peppered with uncomplicated, feel-good cuisine: chicken tacos, stuffed avocado with Black Angus, grilled tuna steak. The drinks are sometimes a little more unusual.

Aachener Str 59, 50674 Cologne, Germany

Stomach twinges? Could be hunger, but could also be wanderlust. With tacos, burritos, quesadillas and ensalada especial - with or without a lot of "spicy" - you can cure both. The lively and colourful store on Severinstraße has also been joined by a restaurant in the Belgian Quarter.

Roonstraße 88, 50674 Cologne, Germany

In the lovingly decorated cellar restaurant with its folkloristic décor, dishes are prepared according to original recipes from South America. Peruvian and Mexican classics such as ceviche and tacos are a must, while tamales, gambas al ajillo, salad with hearts of palm and yuca frita are a must.

Görresstr 2, 50674 Cologne, Germany

Lots of small plates for sociable people; this already existed before the sharing hype began. For example at La Patata. The tapas here are still classic. Homemade Sangria is served with dates wrapped in bacon, albondigas and pimientos.

Kurfürstenstr 24, 50678 Cologne, Germany

Cheaper than a Mexican vacation: a detour to Friesenplatz. Burritos, fajitas, Oaxaca bowls, chimichurri and jackfruit tacos really do taste good in this ambience, even when it's 15 degrees and the sky is grey. Umbrellas and heaters are available on the terrace in the inner courtyard.

Friesenstraße 80, 50672 Cologne, Germany

A margarita is a must - or two or three. If you can't make up your mind from the sheer endless selection of tequilas and mezcals, drink Mexican beer. You need it, because flautas, taquitos, quesadillas, carna asada and chipotle tomato salsa are spicy.

Neuhöfferstraße 32, 50674 Köln, Germany

Corner pub in Mexican style. Although there is also Kölsch on tap here, the real stars are Corona, Salitos and San Miguel, mezcal, tequila and, of course, the homemade margaritas. You can also enjoy simple tacos, solid quesadillas and filling enchiladas.

Merowinger Str 43, 50677 Cologne, Germany

A bustling Texmex restaurant not far from the Rheinenergie stadium with a colourful selection of American-Mexican-style dishes. In addition to tacos, burritos, wraps and burgers, there are also steaks from Argentinian Black Angus prepared on the lava stone grill.
