French fries and wine? That's a must! The funky bar and stall concept by wine celebrity Toni Askitis gives the old snack bar a proper shake-up. The menu includes chips, currywurst, club sandwiches, bami slices and sheep's cheese, all accompanied by Champagne.
Hotter Spot with all kinds of crispy temptations from the deep fryer: fries, potato rings, chicken nuggets, buffalo wings, as well as bitterballen, kibbeling, kipcorn and bami, Indonesian noodles in a breadcrumb coating - a typical Dutch snack.
Cult snack bar with a large fan base in the heart of Kaiserswerth. The sauce really packs a power here, the crispy potato sticks are topped with ketchup, chip sauce or mayo and - if you like - a sprinkling of fresh onions. Eat at home or on the spot while standing.
A small menu, big cinema. Even with a meal as simple as currywurst and chips, you can taste quality and passion in every detail - from the sausage recipe to the chip finish. Top: the individually selectable sauce spiciness level. Minus points for the parking lot romance.
Popular chip shop in a prime location in the old town, which also has two other branches. The fries are cut Dutch-style thick and cater to pretty much every appetite, from L to XXL. They also serve currywurst, frikandel and a top-class range of sauces.
A currywurst and fries institution with a small burger menu that even meat-free fast food fans can make a pilgrimage to for the vegan "fake balls" and patties. The stars here are the homemade sauces anyway - sometimes fruity, sometimes savoury, sometimes flinty and savoury.
Deep-fried rays of sunshine are served on the large terrace under the Bilk S-Bahn tracks - on their own or transformed into sumptuous poutines with all kinds of extra ingredients. A delicious pork dish in different variations, including vegan ones. There are churros for dessert.
Watch out, it's getting hearty! The legendary restaurant in the old town is known for its sumptuous pork dishes of gigantic proportions - knuckle of pork with Altbiersauce, meat loaf with fried egg, roast with fried potatoes, schnitzel and currywurst. The final opponent here is the grill plate.
Freshly breaded schnitzel, crispy fried potatoes, cordon bleu and currywurst in large portions and a no-frills ambience, with the option of home delivery. There is often a soccer match on the big screen, so it can be a little louder here.
Romantic flair is not exactly one of the strengths of this snack bar, which has been around for almost 50 years. On good days, however, it serves one of the best grilled chickens in town, as well as shashlik, chicken nuggets, chicken fricassee and poultry rissoles galore.
