Indian meets Mexican cuisine. The fusion snack bar on Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg serves burgers made from home-baked brioche buns, rice bowls and a large selection of classic Indian and Mexican dishes. The masala dosa tastes wonderful.
You can't do without spices in Ethiopian cuisine! Meat and vegetarian dishes are seasoned in a sophisticated - and often very spicy - way. Traditionally, people eat with their hands, and the mixed platters for two or three people are ideal for this. On top: warm hospitality!
Sweden in Berlin; Möllers is bringing Swedish cuisine to the capital with two branches. Our favourite is located in Prenzlauer Berg. The menu includes meatballs, either vegan with mashed potatoes or chips. The ambience is reminiscent of a cosy canteen.
Stulle with bread is a typical Berlin local dish. The café of the same name in Charlottenburg serves fresh soups and stews every day, homemade cakes and, of course, handmade sandwiches - for example with homemade tuna cream or Swiss mountain cheese.
Khachapuri, chinkali and spicy stews: Gio's Homemade Georgian Food in Kreuzberg is a real insider tip for authentic Georgian cuisine. The ambience is rustic, as the focus is on feel-good dishes made with dough, cheese and meat.
Cute little store with Pakistani cuisine and self-service in Kreuzberg. For starters, be sure to order the pakoras with homemade chutney, which you can also buy on the spot to take home. A salted lassi rounds off the meal perfectly.
At Manifesto Market on Potsdamer Platz, the flavours of West Africa come to Berlin: Jollof rice, peanut soup and "Red Red" are the all-stars at Afropot. Rice, tomatoes, beans and plantains are combined with fresh herbs - and meat and/or fish on request - to create real flavour bombs. Watch out, it can get spicy!
