This is the where you find the best steak in the world

Steak

Europe's best steak, and the best fillet steak in the world, comes from Denmark.

What distinguishes an excellent steak from a good one? This question divides opinion. In London, the World Steak Challenge searched for answers, while 150 guests chose the "ultimate steak" after an examination by 80 experts.

The winner came from Australia: the "Wagyu Black Angus Cross Sirloin" from "Jack's Creek", fed with a mixture of grain, hay and silage, came out on top overall and was also awarded "World's Best Sirloin" and "World's Best Grain Fed Steak" as well as "Oceanian's Best Steak".

Matured for 28 days

Europe's best steak comes from "Norland Heifer", a brand of the "Danish Crown" group. This is a Norland heifer fillet that has been matured for 28 days and has also won the title of "Best Fillet Steak in the World".

The award for the world's best "Wagyu steak" and the best steak in Asia went to Itoham Yonekyu Holdings for their "A5 Wagyu Sirloin Steak" from the Japanese cattle breed "Kuroge Washu". The 55-day matured ribeye steak from the New Zealand Alliance Group was honoured as the world's best rib-eye. The company also won the title for the best pasture-raised steak.

The most outstanding steak in South America comes from "Azul Natural Beef" from Argentina, while the "Ribeye Wet Aged Steak " from "Creekstone Farms" from a Black Angus breed was named the best steak in North America. A total of 346 medals were awarded.
