Bernd Pulker is a wine freak of the radical kind and his Heuriger has long been a cult restaurant. On warm days, caravans of hungry day-trippers sit in the garden to enjoy the best roast pork between Vienna and Bregenz - and the rare wines.
Heuriger is somewhat off the beaten track, but whether you choose the various specialties from Pannonian Mangalitza pork, the Viennese ham or the creative salads, everything is excellent. You can also enjoy sitting in the beautiful inner courtyard or the barn of the old farmhouse.
The enthusiasm of the sisters, who are the second generation to fill the "Schankl" with life, can be felt in many details: vine wood decoration, delicacies on the slate plate and of course the abundance of white wines (70 percent of the vineyard area) serve only one goal: a good time.

A family dedicated to enjoyment: Cathi has mature cheeses in her portfolio, while brother Lorenz is responsible for the vintage depth of the wines - by the bottle at the Heurigen! - is provided by brother Lorenz. The green courtyard and take-away delicacies complete the overall gastronomic package.
Three pillars are important to the hostess par excellence, Johanna "Pipsi" Gebeshuber, in the spacious old winegrower's house: regionality, organic and slow food products. The cuisine builds on these pillars, and not just with the oven roast to accompany the local wines.
Curated Seewinkler enjoyment - that's what the name "Dankbarkeit" has always stood for. And Christine and Andreas Glück casually continue this concept in the inner courtyard. Sour vegetables, steppe beef and Mangalitza meet the house's renowned wines (Pinot Gris!).
Once again this year, the Schenkhaus (a former stable) is only open as a pop-up heuriger for a short time on two dates. Pia Strehn is known above all for her rosé and has made a name for herself far beyond the borders of Burgenland.
The Weinbeisserei was one of the first designer wine taverns in the region. The view is sensational, and the biodynamically produced wines have long been considered top-quality. The excellent Heurigen fare is also very tempting.
This cult tavern in Weißenkirchen is only open for a few days once a year. And during this time, everyone who knows the place is on their feet to catch a free spot. Because the wine is so good and the food is sensational.
Stefan and Bernhard Schauer create wines that are a joy to drink with their interplay of acidity and aromas. The Brettljause is a highlight, and other delicacies such as roast meat, venison, smoked fish, vegan dishes and regional cheeses make the day perfect.
Modern wine tavern with a cozy lounge area, a terrace with a magnificent view over Klosterneuburg and a secluded garden. In addition to cold Heurigen classics, the restaurant also serves seasonal dishes such as forkfuls of asparagus and prawns.
In the beautiful courtyard of the Grinzinger Heurigen, you can enjoy crisp Veltliner and summery rosé. The snacks, which you can even have packed for a picnic, are delicious. Poultry is expertly prepared on the grill if ordered in advance.
In the orchard or the Kellerstöckl, you will be spoiled with roast pork fat from the home-made roast pork, a rich cheese platter and, above all, the lady of the house's succulent red wine cake. The aromatic, fruity wines are also the result of careful work.
Sometimes the official wine recommendation is simply "Weißer Spritzer". The Schandls love their down-to-earth dishes as well as seasonally inspired delicacies at Hof-Juwel. The Furmint wine and "Pannonian minestrone" is a highly recommended combination.
