A subtle hint of winter wood smoke joins a delicate note of cranberry jelly on the nose before notes of dark berry kick in. The palate is dense and comes with a firm frame of tannin, mellowed by gentle creaminess. The dark fruit has a touch of tar and a subtle, pleasant tannic astringency.
