Tasting from 08.09.2022: Anne Krebiehl MW

A mellow smokiness combines with hints of dried corn husk to give this a lovely, toasty nose. The palate comes in with immediate balance, combining its initial, slightly smoky mellowness with fine, lemony, bright freshness. A hint of toast still shimmers on the slender, supple palate where fine bubbles prolong and accentuate the resonance and mellowness of the underlying Pinot Noir fruit. Beautiful and sophisticated with a long echo of subtly smoked Red Delicious apple and umami.
