As part of the Exhibition "Chianti Classico Century" was set to the past 100 years looked back. Besides the portraits of the 14 presidents who were at the helm during this time, was above all space given to producers . In short video clips that also be played out in the social networks, present to the audience of experts and wine loverslovers before.

Of records and newdiscoveries

The 31. Chianti Classico Collection itself was sThe event was ultimately a complete success. 211 winegrowers and Companies presented the latest vintages of their wines - more companies than ever before. With Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva and Chianti Classico Gran Selezione waited a total of 733 Labels to the tasters.

How do the current 2022-2019 vintages present themselves? The characterized by the great heat 2022 vintage stood out above all due to its very present, sometimes quite harsh Tannins and an not very balanced acidity. The hopes lie in as clear on additional Maturation in the bottleafter the summer you will see more clearly. The 2021 vintage, on the other hand, is pleasant and balancedthe fruit comes very very well, the acidity is well integrated and gives many wines the necessary tension. Also thee tannins are in their place. Mancher producer compares 2021 with 2019. The 2020 vintage, which got off to a somewhat hesitant start, has developed very positively. The wines that are now coming onto the market from this - as a rule Riservas or Gran Selezione - are characterized by good balance, show rich fruitiness, well integrated tannin and are of fine Drinking flow. This distinguishes the wines from the Chianti Classico in the year 2020 significantly from those produced in the coastal region. The dynamism of the region and its growing appreciation is also evidenced by the fact that many new businesses have emerged, which are mainly run by young, committed winegrowers.
