Tasting Notes
The classic "Bin 28", named Kalimna after a vineyard in the Barossa Valley from 1959, comes today as a multi-vineyard blend from four regions. Dark ruby, purple reflections, discreet brightening at the rim. Fine ethereal savouriness, a touch of sea buckthorn, fresh blackberry, a hint of green olive, some liquorice in the background. Substantial, dark forest fruit, black cherry, well-integrated tannins, elegant and persistent, delicately salty on the finish, already approachable, chocolatey nuances on the back palate. (now until 2040).
