Since Leo Hillinger took over his parents' small wine business, he has developed his winery into a model Austrian operation by purchasing the best sites around the communities of Jois, Rust and Oggau. Closeness to nature was the philosophy. The high quality of the wines is based on fully organic farming since 2010, alongside state-of-the-art cellar technology. Vineyards in the best locations in the Leithaberg region in northern Burgenland, and the soil formations typical of the Leithagebirge, give rise to wines that proudly display their provenance.
Leo Hillinger divides his wine range into five categories: "sparkling," "fresh and fruity," "trendy," "earthy," and "premium." Characterised by its provenance and carefully matured, each wine carries its own personal character. In harmony with nature, distinctive wines are created that are ideal companions for all situations and reflect the diversity of Northern Burgenland.
