Statti

Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2024

Cantine Statti has been owned by the Statti family since the 15th century. The estate extends over 500 hectares on the plain of Lamezia Terme in Calabria, including 300 hectares of olive groves, around 100 hectares of vineyards and 50 hectares of citrus plantations. In 1994, out of conviction, new vineyards were planted with indigenous grape varieties such as Mantonico and Greco as well as Gaglioppo and Magliocco in order to combine them with international varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The result is exciting wines such as Batasarro, Cauro, Mantonico, Greco and the DOC wines from Lamezia.
