Poggio al Lupo

Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2024

Antonio Moretti Cuseri founded the Poggio al Lupo winery in Magliano in Tuscany's Maremma region at the beginning of 2000. The estate extends over 45 hectares, 16 of which are planted with the Sangiovese, Vermentino and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties to produce three single-varietal wines. All the vineyards are in organic conversion. The microclimate is Mediterranean, warm but breezy, thanks to the presence of the sea: we are opposite the island of Giglio, with the promontory of Talamone to the right and the wild and wooded landscape of Monte Amiata in the distance.
